  • CUSTOM GLASS TABLE TOPS IN MANHATTAN & NYC

FROM $199 — CUT TO ANY SIZE, SHAPE OR EDGE, DELIVERY INCLUDED

    GET A QUOTE

A glass top protects the table underneath and changes how it reads in the room. Light passes through instead of stopping at the surface, so a dining table stops looking bulky and a small kitchen feels less crowded — while the wood, stone, or metal below stays visible and protected.

Glass Factory cuts custom table tops to any size, shape, and edge profile. Every piece is tempered safety glass, sized to your table, and finished with polished or beveled edges. We measure, fabricate, and deliver across Manhattan and NYC.

How Much Does a Custom Glass Table Top Cost?

Our custom glass table tops start at $199. What moves the number:

  • Size & thickness — Larger tops and thicker glass cost more; dining tables usually need thicker glass than a side table.
  • Shape — Rectangles and squares are simplest; circles, ovals, racetrack, and custom shapes take more fabrication.
  • Edge finish — Flat polished is standard; beveled and custom profiles cost more.
  • Glass type — Clear is the baseline; low-iron, tinted, frosted, and back-painted glass are upgrades.
  • Cut-outs & holes — Umbrella holes, cable pass-throughs, and notches around a base are cut before tempering.
  • Delivery & placement — Oversized tops need more than one person to carry and set.

Pricing is confirmed once we have the dimensions. Contact us and we’ll give you a firm quote.

Where Custom Glass Tops Work

Dining Tables

A tempered top over wood or stone takes the wear — heat, spills, scratches — while keeping the table underneath visible.

Coffee & Side Tables

Cut to the exact footprint, with the edge profile matched to the piece.

Desks & Workstations

A smooth glass surface over a desk, with cut-outs for cable management where needed.

Console & Entry Tables

Protects narrow surfaces that take keys, mail, and daily traffic.

Nightstands & Dressers

Keeps a bedroom surface free of rings and scratches without hiding the finish.

Outdoor & Patio Tables

Tempered tops with umbrella cut-outs, sized to the frame and built for outdoor use.

Restaurant & Commercial Tables

Protective tops for hospitality furniture that has to survive constant use and cleaning.

Shapes, Edges & Thickness

Shapes — Rectangle, square, round, oval, racetrack, and fully custom shapes cut to a template.

Edge profiles — Flat polished for a clean modern line, beveled for a traditional look, pencil round for a softer edge.

Corners — Square, radiused, or clipped — radiused corners are the practical choice in a household with kids.

Thickness — Thicker glass for dining tables and desks where the top spans a distance; thinner for protective covers sitting directly on a solid surface.

Cut-outs — Umbrella holes, cable ports, and notches around table bases, all cut before tempering.

Non-slip pads — Clear bumpers that keep the top from sliding and protect the surface underneath.

Glass Options

Tempered glass (standard) — About four times stronger than annealed glass and breaks into small blunt pieces. The standard for any table top.

Low-iron glass — Removes the green tint that shows on the polished edge of standard glass — worth it on thicker tops where the edge is visible.

Tinted glass — Bronze, grey, and other tints for tables where the glass is part of the design rather than a protective layer.

Frosted & sandblasted glass — A matte surface that hides fingerprints and softens the look.

Back-painted glass — Colored from underneath for an opaque, solid-color top.

How It Works

01

Measurements or Template

Send us the dimensions, or we’ll come measure. For irregular or curved tables we take a template so the top matches the base exactly.

02

Specification

Shape, thickness, edge profile, corners, glass type, and any cut-outs are confirmed before fabrication.

03

Fabrication

The top is cut, edges are polished or beveled, cut-outs are made, and the glass is tempered.

04

Delivery & Placement

We deliver and set the top in place with non-slip pads, including oversized pieces that need more than one person.

Sized for New York Apartments

Getting a large glass top into a New York apartment is its own problem — the stairwell turns, the elevator has a depth limit, and a dining top that fits the room may not fit the route to it. We check access before fabrication, not after, and size or section the piece accordingly so it arrives in one trip and in one piece.

FAQ

Yes. We make our table tops from tempered glass, which is heat-treated to be shockproof and far stronger than standard glass, and breaks safely into small blunt pieces if it ever fails. The surface is also waterproof, so spills won’t damage it. It protects the table beneath while adding a clean, elegant look.

Yes. A custom glass top is a popular way to protect an existing table from scratches, moisture, and daily wear while preserving its appearance. It adds elegance and a wipe-clean surface without compromising the table’s function. We cut it to your table’s exact size and shape.

Yes. We fabricate glass tops to any size and shape — round, oval, rectangular, or custom — with a choice of polished or beveled edges. The glass can also be decorated with sandblasting, coloring, or printing. Everything is made to your measurements and taste.

Thickness depends on the table size and whether the glass is a protective overlay or the structural top itself. Protective tops are typically thinner, while a standalone glass table surface uses thicker tempered glass for stability. We’ll recommend the right thickness for your application.
